Mike Mussina allowed 2 hits while blanking Kansas City at Camden Yards where
the Baltimore Orioles beat the Kansas City Royals 5 to 0.
 
Mussina(1-0) was tremendous on the mound for Baltimore.  He allowed just 2
hits and 1 walk in 9 innings.  Baltimore finished with 8 hits in the victory.
 
Tim Belcher(0-1) took the loss.  He surrendered 5 hits and 5 walks in 6 and
1/3 innings.  'I thought it was my best performance in a long time,' said
Mussina. 'I had good command early in the game. I had my control and
composure and everything went well.'
