Jose Guillen had 2 base hits as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Montreal
Expos by the score of 6 to 5 at Olympic Stadium.
 
Jeff Tabaka(1-0) slammed the door shut in an excellent relief performance.  He
allowed just 1 hit and no walks in 2 innings.  Montreal had a chance in the
9th but they came up short.  
 
Rich Loiselle was credited with his 2nd save. Rick Dehart(0-1) ended up with
the loss in relief.  He gave up 3 runs in 2 innings of work.
