Tony Graffanino had 3 base hits as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Milwaukee
Brewers in 17 innings by the score of 1 to 0 at Turner Field.
The score was knotted at zero after nine innings. Atlanta came out on top in
the 17th inning. Graffanino stroked a one-base hit. Chipper Jones stepped
up to the plate and he laced a base-knock. Andres Galarraga then drew a walk
to load the bases. Javy Lopez struck out, unable to help the rally. Gerald
Williams got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.
Ryan Klesko kept things alive and drew a walk giving Atlanta the victory and
sending the 46,771 home-town fans home happy. Atlanta had 9 hits for the
night.
Mark Wohlers(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing
no runs. Bob Wickman(0-1) suffered the loss in relief.
