Kansas City delivered all the runs required in the 7th inning as they scored 4
runs on 5 base hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Dean Palmer
who silenced the crowd when he tripled which was good for two runs.  Neither
team was able to score until the 6th inning.  
 
The winning pitcher was Hipolito Pichardo(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings.
Pichardo got relief help from Jeff Montgomery who gained credit for his 2nd
