Mike Stanley jacked one out of the ballyard as the Toronto Blue Jays outscored
the Texas Rangers in 10 innings 4 to 3.
 
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings.  Toronto won the
hard fought contest in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Stanley
lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' resulting in an exciting win for Toronto and a
wild post-game celebration by the home town fans.  Toronto totaled 7 hits on
the night.  
 
Randy Myers(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Xavier Hernandez(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings giving up 1 hit and no walks.
