Second baseman Craig Counsell hit 2 doubles as the Florida Marlins defeated
the Chicago (NL) Cubs 5 to 2 at Pro Player Stadium.
 
Gabe Gonzalez(1-0) got the win with a nice relief outing.  He went 1 inning
surrendering no hits and 1 walk.  Gonzalez got help from Antonio Alfonseca
who pitched great and earned his 1st save.  
 
Mark Clark(0-1) was hit with the loss.  He surrendered 4 runs and 8 hits in 6
innings.
