The Philadelphia Phillies pitchers essentially took the day off at Turner
Field as the Atlanta Braves offense erupted for 11 runs while Denny
Neagle(1-0), with relief help from Mike Cather, surrendered 2 runs to
Philadelphia.
 
Neagle delivered a fine performance for Atlanta.  He went 7 innings allowing 7
hits and 2 walks.  Atlanta finished with 18 hits while Philadelphia ended up
with 8.  
 
Mike Grace(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11
hits and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
